Save Public Housing Victoria is a community-driven platform dedicated to protecting and preserving public housing across Victoria.
 

The Victorian Government has announced plans to demolish public housing towers and estates across the state. These decisions put thousands of tenants at risk of displacement, uncertainty, and the loss of strong, established communities.

 

Our mission is to:

 

• Inform the public with accurate updates on demolition progress, redevelopment plans, and government decisions.Educate communities about the risks of demolishing public housing, from homelessness to loss of affordable housing stock.

• Amplify voices of residents who call these homes their own, sharing their stories, experiences, and hopes for a secure future.

• Advocate for solutions that protect people and prioritize humanity over bureaucracy.

 

Public housing isn’t just about buildings — it’s about people, families, and communities. Generations have grown up in these homes, and countless lives have been supported by the stability and affordability they provide.

 

At Save Public Housing Victoria, we believe that instead of tearing down, we should build up: strengthen, refurbish, and expand public housing so that everyone has a safe and secure place to live.
